From Carver's Gap, TN, the Appalachian Trail winds south to Georgia. When you're on this stretch of trail, you're walking the dividing line between Tennessee and North Carolina.
Spring at Sleeping Bear
In June, wildflowers spring up all throughout the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. This photo was taken on a gloomy day from the Empire Bluffs Trail, on one of my first solo hikes ever.
Avalanche Lake and Mist
A gloomy morning at Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park. I took this photo probably four minutes before we noticed a bear across the lake, spent three more minutes debating if the bear was a grizzly or black bear, ultimately decided grizzly, then freaked out and bolted. Live and learn, I guess.
St. John Sunrise
Sunrise in Fish Bay of St. John Island. This picture still smells like the coffee I made way too strong.
cranberry blooms.
This is one from 2017, one of the first photos I took that I liked, and one of my favorites to date. This early bloom is on a cranberry bush in the Kellogg Experimental Forest near Battle Creek, Michigan.
Purple Mountains
The mountains near Meghri, Armenia just after sunset. This is one of the most magical little towns in the world, in one of the best . 100% of profits from this photo will be donated to mutual aid funds for Armenia and Artsakh.
